It’s been weeks since the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve, but Eaton is continuing to ring in the new year amid much excitement. In fact, 2022 promises to be a banner year for channel partners, thanks to the continued integration of Tripp Lite into the Eaton organization and our resolution to deliver even more value to partners!
By combining the strengths of both companies – including the Tripp Lite and Eaton product portfolios, along with Eaton’s PowerAdvantage partner program – we’re creating an essential dream team for power infrastructure & peripherals resellers. The unification not only results in a stronger vendor with a deeper product portfolio, but an expanded value proposition that is unmatched in the industry.
2022 promises to be a banner year for Eaton channel partners.
For Tripp Lite resellers, the integration provides the opportunity to seize the many benefits and extensive support available through Eaton’s PowerAdvantage program, a platform that Tripp Lite did not offer to its partners. Eaton’s multi-tiered program – designed by VAR and power experts to help resellers grow their business – rewards partners with an array of advantages, including deal registration, rebates, dedicated pre- and post-sales support, training and certification, marketing development funds, and a variety of other tools and programs. Even more, PowerAdvantage benefits are awarded based on commitment to Eaton and value delivered – not sales volume.
While Tripp Lite resellers can seize the opportunity to grow their business through the PowerAdvantage program and by having access to the complete Eaton product line, legacy Eaton resellers will benefit from the merger, as well. While Eaton already held a No. 2 position in power, the acquisition of Tripp Lite nearly doubled our market share position, bringing with it more than 5,000 products ranging from UPSs and fiber network cables to rack power distribution units and enclosures. Tripp Lite not only adds breadth to our portfolio, but expertise in the workspace, connectivity and power management environments – giving Eaton partners more opportunities to add value by offering new solutions for their customers.
For instance, Tripp Lite’s portfolio of industry-leading rack enclosures – which will be available for resellers to order through Eaton platforms beginning this month – will be a boon for PowerAdvantage partners looking to supply wall-mount enclosures in applications such as edge computing environments. As the integration process continues, Eaton resellers will gain access to the complete Tripp Lite product line, including cables, connectivity, networking and KVM solutions, cooling, surge suppressors, power strips, display mounts and chargers, among other solutions. And for those selling into government channels, Tripp Lite offers several TAA-approved UPS models, ideal for public bids.
