Another year, another report card – and Eaton remains second to none

Sep 14, 2021

Talk about passing with flying colors! For the second year in a row, Eaton ranks at the top of the class in
channel partner programs. Snagging the highest honor in the Power Protection and Management category of CRN’s 2021 Annual Report Card Awards, Eaton was once again recognized as the best-in-class supplier after nabbing the same award in 2020. Voted on by a community of IT solution providers and value-added resellers (VARs), the report cards honor technology providers who are committed to driving channel growth through innovation and outstanding performance.

In addition to garnering the most coveted award, Eaton was also recognized as the winner of two subcategories: Product Innovation and Managed & Cloud Services. Meanwhile, Tripp Lite – which was acquired by Eaton in 2021 – won in both the Support and Partnership subcategories. For overall category honors, Tripp Lite earned a score of 89.1, making it second only to Eaton’s winning score of 89.5. Furthermore, in 20 of the 21 individual subsections ranked by partners – including product quality, pre-sales support and profit margins – either Eaton or Tripp Lite scored highest among all manufacturers.

Top scores made Eaton the overall Power Protection and Management category winner - again - in CRN’s 2021 ARC Awards!

Addressing challenges pays off

The back-to-back years of recognition underscores Eaton’s dedication to helping partners drive recurring revenue opportunities through power management innovation. When times got tough, Eaton didn’t play hooky. Amid channel partners’ economic uncertainty and a changing IT landscape fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic, Eaton remained hard at work optimizing the PowerAdvantage program.

To begin with, we continued to develop new power management strategies aimed at helping solution providers better support their customers’ changing requirements in areas such as resiliency, disaster avoidance and cybersecurity protection. Recognizing that our partners are navigating complex, dynamic IT environments – accelerated by increasing connectivity, advancements in cloud computing, growing reliance on distributed infrastructure, the growth of remote workforces and the constant threat of cyberattacks – Eaton sought to deliver the tools and products that could help them meet these ongoing challenges while driving revenue growth. Among those efforts were Eaton’s recently launched 9PX lithium-ion UPS and Intelligent Power Manager 2 disaster avoidance software, part of the Brightlayer Data Centers suite. Both solutions provide partners with unique advantages much-needed by their end user customers.

Continued dedication ahead

The collective sweep of CRN’s Power Protection and Management category further validates the strength of Eaton and Tripp Lite’s combined solution offering, which will continue to evolve in the coming months. In the meantime, our partners can rest assured that we will remain vigilant in our efforts to consistently earn the highest marks for our program. Since its inception, the PowerAdvantage program has been dedicated to helping channel partners drive revenue while supplying customers with the solutions to meet critical IT challenges now and in the future. We appreciate you putting your trust in us – and helping us achieve another A+!

Thank you to our partners!
